Getting Started

From sign-up to your first published catalog: create your account, connect your Shopify store, set up a vendor, and run your first sync job — in under 10 minutes.

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Trinis works as a three-step pipeline — Collect (gather from the vendor), Enrich (enrich with AI), and Deliver (publish to the store). This guide walks through the minimum setup needed to run the pipeline end-to-end for the first time. You don't need to know how to code: the entire setup is visual.

Before you start Have your Shopify store admin access ready, along with the website URL (or a spreadsheet/PDF) of the vendor whose catalog you want to sync.
️ ~2 min no credit card required

1. Create your account

Go to trinis.ai/register and fill in:

  • Full name — your name.
  • Workspace name — the name of your operation or store. It identifies the account (the tenant) and can be changed later.
  • Email and Password.

After submitting, you'll receive a confirmation email. Click the link to activate your account and log in at trinis.ai/login. Your account starts on the Trial plan (30 products/month, 1 user, 1 store) — enough to complete this guide.

Tip Didn't receive the email? Check your spam folder or use the Resend email button on the confirmation screen.
️ ~2 min requires store admin

2. Connect your Shopify store

In the dashboard, open Stores (sidebar menu) and click Connect a new store. Enter your store's .myshopify.com domain and complete Shopify's OAuth authorization — you'll be taken to Shopify, approve the requested permissions, and return to Trinis.

From there the store appears in the list as active. Trinis only reads and updates the catalog (products, variants, prices, stock); access tokens are stored encrypted.

Attention The Trial plan allows 1 store. If you need to connect another, upgrade in Billing — Flex and Advantage allow 5, Enterprise has no practical limit.
️ ~3 min

3. Set up your first vendor

Go to Settings → Vendors and click + Add vendor. A vendor describes where products come from and how to handle them:

  • Name — how you identify the vendor (e.g., John's Store).
  • Brand name — the brand that will be applied to the published products.
  • Product listing URL — paste the URL of the vendor's category/collection you want to bring in (the same one shown in your browser). Details in Configuring Collect.
  • Price multiplier — factor applied to the vendor's cost price to reach the selling price (e.g., 2x).

Use the preview button to validate the URL before saving — it shows a sample of the products Trinis was able to read.

No website to collect from? If the vendor delivers the catalog as a spreadsheet or XML, use Import Products in the sidebar menu to upload a .csv or .xml file. See Scraper & Import.
optional on Trial

4. Enable pipeline modules

Each pipeline stage is a module: Scraper (collection), AI Enricher (AI-written text and SEO, includes Blog AI), Sync Engine (automatic publishing), and Image AI (image processing).

  • The Trial plan includes only the Scraper.
  • Flex, Advantage, and Enterprise include all modules.

You can also subscribe to individual modules in Billing → Modules, without switching plans. For this guide, the Scraper alone is enough to see collection working; automatic publishing requires the Sync Engine.

️ ~1 min to set up

5. Run your first job

Open Jobs → New sync and fill in:

  • Vendor source — the vendor you just created.
  • Shopify store — the store connected in step 2.
  • Products to sync — keep a low number the first time (e.g., 10) to validate the result without using up your whole quota.
  • When to run — now for the first test (or a recurring schedule later).

Confirm to create the job. It enters the queue and you can track progress in real time on the job screen — each product goes through collection, enrichment (if the module is active), and publishing, with logs for each step.

How quota is counted On AI-enabled plans (Flex, Advantage, Enterprise), each product processed by AI counts — re-syncing already enriched items doesn't use quota. On Trial, every published product counts, including re-syncs, up to the lifetime limit of 25.

6. Review and publish

When the job finishes, the products appear in Products. Review titles, descriptions, prices, and generated images.

If you'd rather approve manually before anything goes to the store, enable sync approval requirement in your account settings: jobs stop at the pending_approval status and only publish after your OK. Without this option, products go straight to Shopify as the pipeline finishes each one.

7. Track usage and credits

The usage bar at the bottom of the sidebar menu and the Billing page show how many products you've processed this cycle. As you approach the limit:

  • On-demand credits — one-off packs that never expire, so you can keep going without interruption.
  • Plan upgrade — done directly in Billing (switching between paid plans goes through the billing portal, with a prorated adjustment).
