Backup Add-on

An automatic catalog snapshot before every bulk action, plus a one-click undo button per job, selective restore, point-in-time comparison, and daily backups.

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Backup is an add-on independent of the plans: while it's active, Trinis keeps snapshots of your catalog — full copies of every product and variant, saved in dedicated storage. It's the safety net for any sync or bulk action.

What Backup does

Activate the add-on

Activate it from the Backup page (side menu) or in Billing. Available on the Flex, Advantage, and Enterprise plans. Pricing by catalog size:

TierCatalogPrice/moAutomatic backupSnapshotsRetention
ManualAny size$39Manual onlyup to 57 days
SmallUp to ~500 products$79Manual + dailyup to 3030 days*
Medium500 to 5,000 products$200Manual + dailyup to 3030 days*
Large5,000+ products, lots of variants/media$575Manual + dailyup to 3030 days*

*Default retention. 1-year or unlimited retention costs more — not yet priced.

Switching tiers and canceling are both done from the Backup page itself. When you cancel, existing snapshots are kept, but no new backups are created — and jobs run without a pre-action snapshot from then on.

Pre-action snapshot

With the add-on active, before the first write of any job that changes the catalog — publishing, pricing, tags, SKU, discounts, discontinued-item checks — Trinis takes a snapshot and links it to the job.

Anomaly alert If the daily discontinued products check moves a large slice of the catalog to draft/archived (starting at ~15% of products, or 20), the job is flagged and the account owner gets an email with a direct link to revert it.

Revert a job

On a completed job's page, the "Revert this job" button rolls back only the products that job changed to their pre-action snapshot state — the rest of the catalog is left untouched.

Restore from a snapshot

On the Backup page, every snapshot has a Restore button, with three modes:

ModeWhat it does
Restore everythingReapplies every product in the snapshot; re-creates any that were deleted.
Only what disappearedRestores only products from the snapshot that no longer exist in the store — leaves current ones untouched.
Select productsOpens the comparison view so you can mark individual products and restore only those.

Title, description, vendor, type, tags, status, and variants (price, compare-at price, SKU, barcode, inventory) are all restored.

Comparison (diff)

Compare a snapshot with the store as it is now or with another snapshot. The screen shows added, removed, and changed products, field by field — price, SKU, barcode, status, tags — per product and per variant. From there you can restore just the items you mark.
